Children whose parents have been incarcerated often need extra attention. Spending one hour once a week for one year with a child can make a huge difference in that child’s life. Apply and attend a two-hour training, become a mentor, and gain a new young friend while making a difference! All it takes is one hour, once a week, for one year. Mentors are screened and trained before being matched with a child and assisted throughout the life of the match. Contact Jessica Turral, Children of Incarcerated Parents Coordinator with Notre Dame-AmeriCorps at Alternative Directions, Inc: 410-889-5072 or jessicaturral@yahoo.com.
